An online wine auction run by Langton’s Fine Wines is being held this week for Australian wine writer Philip White, who is having treatment for cancer at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide.

You can bid for a number of great wines now at the Philip White Fundraising Auction.

All of the wines for the auction have been donated by producers from across Australia including Glaetzer Wines, O’Leary Walker, Greenock Creek, Yangarra, Yarra Yering, Yalumba, Wirra Wirra and Good Catholic Girl Wines.

One of the highlights is a 1976 bottle of Grange signed by Max Schubert. It was donated by Max’s daughter.

The auction closes on Tuesday 5 February at 8pm.

“All proceeds from the auction will go to Philip,” organiser and friend Milton Wordley said.

“We all know Philip has never been that interested in money. But this will help with Philip’s medical and living expenses.

“Philip is overwhelmed by the support he’s received and appreciates everyone’s concern.”

One of Australia’s most revered wine critics, Philip publishes the popular wine blog Drinkster
