The Calabria Family Wine Group has welcomed the fourth-generation family member to its growing wine business.
Sophie Calabria has joined the marketing team while studying a Bachelor of Marketing & Communication through the University of South Australia.
Sophie, whose father is general manager Michael Calabria, says she is thrilled to join the business and share the family’s love of wine with customers around the globe.
“As a family-owned business, we are proud to have been producing award-winning wines for over 75 years,” Sophie’s grandfather, managing director Bill Calabria AM says.
“We believe our success is due to our never-ending commitment to quality, sustainability and family values.
“With Sophie joining our team, we are excited to continue this legacy and to pass on our passion to the next generation.”
Sophie says, “I’m excited to work with Dad and the rest of the family at the winery.
“There is so much happening across all areas of the business, and I’m most keen to put my marketing training to work to help be part of the growth taking place in Australia and around the world for Calabria Family Wines.”
Established 75 years ago, Calabria Family Wines is one of Australia’s top 20 wine producers.
Calabria is based in Griffith and has a cellar door in the Barossa Valley.
Their wines are exported to 36 countries.
