The inaugural International Wine Challenge Asia-Pacific will be judged in Adelaide from 30 November 2026.
Entries close on 16 November.
For over 40 years, the International Wine Challenge has judged the world’s wines in London.
This year, for the first time, it is bringing that judging to the Asia-Pacific region, and it is starting in Australia.
The inaugural IWC Asia-Pacific will see wines from across the region tasted blind by expert panels in Adelaide.
Australian producers can now enter one of the world’s most recognised wine competitions without sending their wines halfway around the world, and with judges who know the region’s wines intimately.
IWC Asia-Pacific is a regional competition within the International Wine Challenge.
Wines are judged in their market and regional context, but the medals carry the full weight of the IWC name.
And the journey does not stop in Adelaide.
Gold medal winners go forward to trophy judging in London in May 2027, where they are tasted again by senior international panels alongside the best wines from more than 100 countries.
That puts a path to the IWC’s top accolades within reach of every Australian producer who enters at home.
The Asia-Pacific judging is led by a panel of co-chairs that includes Australia’s own Erin Larkin, Cathy van Zyl MW, Yang Lu MS and Ken Ohashi MW.
