Pure Wine Co has been appointed as the exclusive national mainland distributor for Pipers Brook Vineyard, also including Kreglinger Sparkling, Pipers Tasmania and Ninth Island labels.
The brands are owned by Kreglinger Estate.
With a shared focus on quality, heritage and innovation, the collaboration will strengthen access to these iconic Tasmanian wines across on-premise and retail channels throughout Australia, excluding distribution in Tasmania, which will continue to be managed by the Pipers Brook team directly.
Established in 1974, Pipers Brook Vineyard is situated in Tasmania’s north-east and is one of the island’s pioneering cool-climate sites.
Under the stewardship of the de Moor family of Launceston, the winery operates as the epicentre of production for the leading Tasmanian-owned portfolio.
From sites in Pipers Brook and the West Tamar, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, aromatic whites and sparkling wine, are celebrated for their precision, purity and sense of place.
Paul de Moor, managing director of Pipers Brook Vineyard, said the partnership marks a strong step in expanding the national presence of the portfolio.
“Partnering with Pure Wine Co reflects our ambition to continue growing the presence of our iconic Tasmanian wines nationally,” he says.
“Pure’s values, people, and track record in the premium category make them an ideal partner to represent our brands.
“We see tremendous opportunity ahead to deepen engagement with trade and consumers who seek authenticity, provenance and quality.”
Joanna Chronis, executive chair of Pure Wine Co, said the addition of the Tasmanian portfolio enhances Pure’s offering across Australia.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to partner with the team at Pipers Brook and represent these iconic Tasmanian brands,” Joanna says.
“Kreglinger Sparkling, Pipers Brook and Ninth Island have an exceptional reputation built on quality and heritage, attributes that align perfectly with Pure’s portfolio.
“This partnership, between two family-owned and run businesses, delivers meaningful growth for our business, our people and the industry, and also gives our customers access to Tasmania’s most distinctive wines.”
The partnership takes effect from March 1.
