Three South Australian wineries – d’Arenberg, Penfolds Magill Estate and Seppeltsfield – have been included in the World’s Best Vineyards Top 100 for 2024.
Judged by 500 leading wine tourism and travel experts from around the globe, spanning five continents, the list showcases the finest wine tourism experiences.
They came in at 32, 37 and 84 respectively.
It is the sixth year in a row Seppeltsfield has been recognised in the prestigious list.
“This is fantastic global recognition for our team, dedicated to delivering a truly world class wine tourism experience,” says Seppeltsfield proprietor Warren Randall.
d’Arenberg was ranked number 17 in the 2023 list and number 60 in 2022.
This year’s number 32 ranking places it as the number one vineyard in Australasia.
Chester Osborn says it is this consistency of recognition on the global stage that is most rewarding to him.
“It is humbling to see d’Arenberg and McLaren Vale recognised alongside many of the world’s great estates and shows how far we have come as a winery and as a region since my great grandfather purchased the d’Arenberg property in 1912,” says Chester.
