Tyrrell’s and red+white have announced a new national distribution partnership commencing September 1.
United by a common belief in building brands for the future while respecting heritage and tradition, red+white and Tyrrell’s are looking forward to an exciting new chapter together.
CEO Chris Tyrrell says the partnership represents a strong alignment of values and ambition.
“As our family wine business embarks on a new era, we have decided to focus on what makes Tyrrell’s who we are: producing distinct wines from some of the world’s oldest and most important vineyards on our family estate,” he says.
“red+white is a like-minded family-owned business that we have long admired.
“Their people, values and reputation make them the ideal partner to represent our wines throughout Australia.
“My sister Jane Tyrrell and long-term employee Christian McDermott will also continue guiding the brand alongside the red+white team.”
Jane Tyrrell says, “This is an exciting new chapter for Tyrrell’s.
“We’ve taken great care in choosing a partner that shares our commitment to quality, service and long-term relationships, and we couldn’t be more pleased to be working alongside red+white.
“I am especially looking forward to continuing to support our customers across NSW in my new role, ensuring they still have a direct connection to our family and the winery, while benefiting from the strength and reach of one of Australia’s leading wine distributors.”
red+white is part of Joval Wines. CEO Gary Crawford says, “We are incredibly proud to welcome Tyrrell’s to the red+white portfolio within Joval Wines.
“Tyrrell’s is one of Australia’s great wine families and a winery that has made an extraordinary contribution to the Australian wine industry.
“We have long admired their unwavering commitment to quality, innovation and authenticity, and we are honoured to represent their wines across Australia.”
The addition of Tyrrell’s further strengthens red+white’s portfolio of leading family-owned wine brands and reinforces its position as one of Australia’s premier wine distribution businesses.
For almost 170 years, the Tyrrell family has been at the forefront of Australian winemaking, producing benchmark wines that have earned acclaim both domestically and internationally.
Under the stewardship of the fifth generation, the family continues to champion excellence in viticulture and winemaking while preserving the legacy established by founder Edward Tyrrell.
With unique old-vine custodianship including 10 vineyards over 100 years old, the family’s dedication and consistency have made Tyrrell’s one of Australia’s most awarded and recognised wineries.
