A trend towards just-in-time delivery and a need for flexibility in rapidly changing markets are leading to extra demand for rework jobs among Australian storage and logistics suppliers.
WineWorks Australia has reported another solid trading year, with the rework side of the business growing rapidly.
The family owned business is building a new dedicated reworking area, which will be fully operational in early 2017.
“It will be the best dedicated rework facility in the Australian wine industry,” general manager Kent Brown says.
WineWorks is also seeing growth in export-related work.
“With new SOLAS regulations WineWorks Australia now provides a comprehensive VGM service that takes the pressure off the wineries,” Kent says.
“In addition to this we can advise on correct configuration for bottling, saving time and money and making the process more efficient.”
WineWorks has gone from strength to strength in recent years, winning the Export award at the WISA Wine Supplier of the Year in 2015 and the Distribution and Logistics award at the inaugural Wine Industry Impact Awards last year.
