Yangarra Estate has announced its new winemaking and viticulture leadership team, appointing Guillaume Camougrand as head of winemaking and viticulture, Shelley Torresan as senior winemaker, and Cliff Wickman as vineyard manager.
The appointments follow the passing of Peter Fraser who served as Yangarra’s head winemaker and general manager from 2000 to November 2025.
Fraser was instrumental in establishing Yangarra as one of Australia’s great wine estates, championing southern Rhône varieties – particularly Grenache – and defining the philosophy that continues to guide the estate today.

“Guillaume, Shelley and Cliff, together with the entire Yangarra team, embody the dedication, craftsmanship and philosophy that Peter Fraser helped build over so many years.
“We are proud of this team and confident they will continue to build on Yangarra’s remarkable reputation in the years ahead.”
Camougrand joined Yangarra in 2014 and was promoted to assistant winemaker in 2017, working across the full scope of production alongside Fraser and Torresan.
In his new role he is responsible for the estate’s overall winemaking and viticulture direction.
Since joining Yangarra in 2008, Torresan has been central to the Estate’s winemaking team.
Her deep understanding of the wines, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering focus on quality have helped ensure the consistency and quality of the Yangarra wine portfolio.
Wickman joined Yangarra in 2025, bringing more than a decade of vineyard experience, with a particular interest in Rhône varieties and old bush vines.
He oversees stewardship of the estate’s 170 hectares, including approximately 87 hectares under vine.
