Barossa Australia CEO James March has resigned and will leave in June.
He will join Rockford as general manager.
“It’s been a great ride and I’m proud of everything we’ve achieved as an organisation,” James says.
“An opportunity came along to work with Rockford and I’m thrilled to be joining such a highly regarded winery.”
Kevin Scarce, chair of Barossa Australia, says the board offers their congratulations to James on his appointment and the new opportunity.
“We are delighted he will remain working within the region,” he says.
“We thank him for his 13 years of service to BGWA and Barossa Australia.”
James’ tenure with the organisation will conclude at the beginning of June.
“This provides the opportunity for a smooth transition as we look to appoint a new candidate and include a handover period before his departure,” Mr Scarce says.
“The recruitment process is underway and I look forward to keeping you informed with relevant updates.”
James joined Barossa Australia in 2010.
