TarraWarra Estate in the Yarra Valley has appointed Sam Isherwood as general manager.
Sam began her career in the Australian wine industry at The Hardy Wine Company, where she assisted in customer service and sales support while completing her wine-related studies at Roseworthy Agricultural College, now Adelaide University.
She went on to work with premium distributors Tucker Seabrook and Joval Wine Group across sales, brand management and marketing, with premium producers like Bannockburn, Pikes, Henschke and Shaw + Smith.
This work was in addition to spending time with the Bibendum Wine Company as national sales and marketing manager.
Sam discovered her love for the Yarra Valley through her work at Giant Steps and Seville Estate, growing sales and markets within both companies and endeavouring to create and celebrate the uniqueness of each location.
Her heavy involvement in the wine industry also extends to chairing the committee for the Melbourne Royal Wine Awards and working on the committee for Wine Yarra Valley.
“My heart is entrenched in the slopes of the Yarra Valley, with a large focus now on the bright future of TarraWarra Estate,” Sam says.
“I hope to nurture the special relationships we already have as well as welcoming new visitors to the brand and the Estate, discovering something new each time they visit.”
