Lauren Hansen named Dux of the Len Evans Tutorial

Lauren Hansen from Penley Estate has been named Dux of the 2024 Len Evans Tutorial.

The Len Evans Tutorial is often referred to as the ‘greatest wine school on earth’.

The other participants were: Nicole Brasier, Lisa Cardelli, Greg Clack, Tim Dexter, Andrew Higgins, Marcell Kustos, Jonathan Mattick, Aaron Mercer, Foni Pollitt, Skye Salter and Rohan Smith.

The LET is an intensive five-day wine education program based in the Hunter Valley.

It is named after the legendary wine critic Len Evans AO OBE.

Founded in 2001 by Evans, the Len Evans Tutorial has now been completed by 262 graduates.

“The overarching intent of the LET is to equip scholars with the tools and skills to evolve the quality of Australian wines in terms of style and technical attributes,” says Sally Evans, Len’s daughter.

“And to give them the confidence to broadcast the incredible quality of Australian wine both locally and abroad.”
