Riverland wine seminar with a whole lot of rosé

By Wednesday 20 August 2025No Comments

Ricca Terra Farms is hosting a wine seminar called Stop & Smell The Rosé in the Riverland on Wednesday 15 October.

It is believed to be the first rosé event of its kind in Australia.

The seminar will be hosted by Katie Spain and speakers include Toby Barlow from Treasury Wine Estates, Dan Killey from Brand Warrior, Lucy Clements from Freestone Estate and writers Robert Joseph, Max Allen and David Brookes.

“Our aim is to create an event that attracts people who dare to build a better wine environment for all through rosé wine,” organiser Ashley Ratcliff said.

“It will explore a wine style that now accounts for roughly 10 percent of all wine consumed worldwide.

“The focus will be grape varieties that are best suited to rosé production and also future opportunities.”

The seminar will be followed by a fun night involving a whole lot of rosé.

It will be held in the Ricca Terra Wine Room on the banks of the Murray River in Renmark.

The seminar is part of the Riverland Rose and Garden Festival.

Limited tickets ($100) are available via Eventbrite here.
