Roseworthy Agricultural College has been associated with viticulture and wine-making for well nigh one hundred years. For many years the consumption of wine in Australia was not great because of this interest in the wine industry was small. In the last twenty years, and especially in the last decade, wine consumption has increased enormously, one of the principal reasons being a marked improvement in the quality of Australian table wines.
