Globally-renowned Burgundian cooperage Tonnellerie Remond has appointed AP John Coopers as its new Australian agent.
AP John Coopers will provide local support for the French brand, which has been working with Australian winemakers since the early 1990s.
Tonnellerie Remond was founded in 1954 in Ladoix-Serrigny, in the heart of Burgundy.
The Remond reputation for traditional craftmanship is built on the work of a team of master coopers, utilising supplies of oak merrains from the most prestigious French forests as well as exclusive and differentiating toasting techniques.
Tonnellerie Remond representatives will join the AP John sales team in September to visit existing and prospective customers across Australia.
Barrel orders for the 2023 vintage will be handled by the Barossa-based AP John sales team.
“Initial conversations with existing customers have been overwhelmingly positive about the new agency arrangement, which will provide a new level of reputable local support,” AP John says.
