Oatley to distribute Pike & Joyce Wines

Oatley Fine Wine Merchants will be taking on Australian national distribution of Pike & Joyce Wines in the Adelaide Hills.

Pikes Wines, based in Clare, has worked with Oatley as its national distribution partner since 2017.

Director Jamie Pike, on behalf of the Pike & Joyce families, says the Oatley team understands how the wines are positioned, how customers are supported, and what’s required to build brands properly in the market.

“That existing relationship gives us confidence that the transition will be straightforward for both the Oatley sales team and our highly valued trade customers,” he says.

“Introducing Pike & Joyce Wines into the Oatley network provides a single national point of contact, clearer alignment across states, and continuity for customers who already work with the Oatley team.

“As a family business, relationships matter to us.

“We’ve worked with Oatley Fine Wine Merchants for many years through Pikes, and we trust the way their team looks after customers and represents our wines.

“This longstanding relationship is why we’re confident this is the right move for Pike & Joyce.”

Anthony Roberts, CEO of Oatley Fine Wine Merchants, said, “This addition further cements our partnership with the Pike family as we welcome the Joyce family to the team as well.

“Family businesses bring their own special romance to the business of wine – our owner, Andrew (Sandy) Oatley, is delighted to have Pike & Joyce in the family fold.”

Pikes Wines acknowledged and thanked its current distribution partners – The Wine Company, Options Wines and David Mullen Wines – for the role they have played in establishing and representing Pike & Joyce Wines in their respective Australian markets.

Distribution in Queensland, New South Wales, ACT, Victoria and Western Australia will commence on March 1 with South Australia transitioning from April 1.
