WBM wine reviewer Tyson Stelzer is inviting readers to support him again this year with wine donations for his Teen Rescue Foundation Auction 2025.
Tyson established Teen Rescue Foundation 11 years ago as a not-for-profit charity.
“And thanks to generous support over this time, we have been privileged to raise more than $225,000 to resource frontline initiatives to tackle teen alcohol abuse in Australia,” he says.
Premium and rare wines and Champagnes, special dinners, accommodation and wine experiences will again be offered in an online auction hosted by Langton’s Fine Wine Auctions between 3 and 17 June.
“I would like to invite your readers’ support by donating wines or experiences to the auction,” Tyson says.
“They can simply fill out this simple submission form.”
Auction items will be required by Tuesday 13 May.
One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to Teen Rescue Foundation.
Langton’s has donated its services and will take no cut of the proceeds or of the buyer’s premium.
“Efforts to address alcohol abuse are making a real and tangible impact for underage Australians, who are drinking less alcohol now than they have at any time since surveying began in the early 1980s,” Tyson says.
“But there is much more still to be done in education, training and harm prevention if these trends are to continue to improve.
“My Teen Rescue Foundation Auction 2025 is again an opportunity to unite Australia’s wine and hospitality communities to make an impact in turning around the underage alcohol culture in Australia.
“Together, we can continue to make a very real difference in saving young Australians from alcohol abuse.”
