By Tuesday 24 March 2020No Comments

Two employees from Lyndoch Hill Winery in the Barossa Valley have tested positive for the coronavirus.

It is not known if this is related to a group of American tourists testing positive last week.

Chief public health officer Dr Nicola Spurrier said, “We are investigating a small cluster, less than five people, who have visited Lyndoch Hill in the Barossa.

“If you have visited this venue since 14 March and feel unwell, you should self-isolate and seek urgent testing.”

Mark and Mandy Creed from Lyncoch Hill released this statement: “We can confirm that two of our employees have tested positive to COVID-19.

“Both employees are generally in good health and are currently self-isolating as is the advice from SA Health.

“We have followed the correct protocol and have been working with SA Health, taking their advice and direction and ensuring full disclosure of information.

“SA Health have enacted their ‘contact tracing’ protocol to identify potential risks to staff, customers or guests.

“The health and safety of our staff is our absolute priority and we will continue to receive guidance from SA Health on the protocols, over and above the precautionary procedures that were already implemented.”
