Yalumba Wines release a new lot of golden oldies

By Wednesday 30 April 2025No Comments

Yalumba has unveiled its 2025 Museum Release wines following the resounding success of last year’s inaugural release.

They are rare wines from the exceptional 2010, 2013 and 2015 vintages, each carefully cellared for 10, 12 and 15 years respectively.

Building on Yalumba’s 175-year legacy of family winemaking, the 2025 Museum Release presents limited parcels of The Caley Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz, The Octavius Old Vine Shiraz, The Menzies Cabernet Sauvignon and The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz.

This year’s collection also welcomes the inclusion of The Tri-Centenary Grenache with a 10-year release of the 2015 vintage, an “exemplary expression” of Barossa Grenache from ancestor vines spanning three centuries.

“For generations, we have been setting aside our finest wines from great vintages, allowing them to mature in the ideal cellaring conditions of the Yalumba Museum,” says fifth-generation proprietor Robert Hill-Smith.

“The 2025 Museum Release reflects our unwavering commitment to crafting wines of exceptional pedigree and ageing potential.

“Each bottle tells a story of time, place and dedication.”

Hill-Smith says last year’s inaugural Museum Collection was met with “immense enthusiasm”, finding its way into Australia’s most esteemed fine wine venues and retailers.

“The 2025 Museum Release continues this tradition, offering wine collectors and connoisseurs the opportunity to experience the complexity, depth, and refined elegance that comes with carefully aged wines,” he says.

“Each wine in the Museum Collection represents an irreplaceable moment in time, crafted to honour the terroir, vintage conditions, and the people behind every bottle.”

The wines are available in limited quantities through the Yalumba Wine Room and website, select fine wine retailers and leading restaurants worldwide.
