Small family winery Arila Gardens won six trophies at the Barossa Wine Show on Friday for its 2022 Ironstone and Quartz Garden Shiraz.

The trophies included Best Shiraz Trophy, Best Single Vineyard Wine (which also includes a trophy for Viticulturist), Best Red Wine, Best 2022 Shiraz and Best Barossa Wine.

“For a small family-owned business, just establishing itself, this really does mean the world to us,” owner Adam Clay says.

“Shining a light on Moppa and the best selection of Shiraz we make from our little vineyard.”

Adam and Marie Clay purchased eight hectares of vineyards in Moppa in 2018.

Arila is an indigenous word for sand, land and earth.
