Chateau Tanunda chief winemaker Neville Rowe is moving on after 10 years with the Barossa winery.
Senior winemaker Jeremy Ottawa will take over.
He will be joined by new senior winemaker Reid Bosward and Patrick Long.
Proprietor John Geber and managing director Michelle Geber described Neville’s tenure as “incredible”.
“On behalf of the Geber family, we offer our sincere thanks to Neville for his service and wish him all the best for the future,” they said in a joint statement.
“Following a 35-year career in wine, Neville’s next well-deserved pursuit is to unfurl the sails on his beloved yacht and spend time at sea – wherever the wind may take him.
“Since joining Château Tanunda in 2015, Neville has spearheaded our winemaking approach to uphold our existing legacy and continuously improve the quality of our wines across the portfolio.
“His expertise and passion for Château Tanunda wines have been instrumental in the accolades we have received, both locally and internationally, and we are honoured to have had him leading our winemaking team.
During his time at Château Tanunda, Neville was named a Top 100 Master Winemaker in 2020 and 2022 by The Drinks Business.
The Everest Shiraz gained consecutive 96-point ratings from Huon Hooke in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
The 100 Year Old Vines Shiraz 2018 scored 97 points from Andrew Caillard MW and Ken Gargett.
