The Barons of Barossa has welcomed five new Barons to the fraternity.

They are: Claire Wood, managing director of Carême Pastry; Stuart Bourne, head winemaker at Soul Growers; Penny Rafferty, executive director of Luxury Lodges Australia; Matt McCulloch, managing director of Langmeil Winery; and Vic Patrick OAM, who has been a tireless contributor to Australian viticulture for 50 years.

Head of the fraternity Louisa Rose says, “We acknowledge these fantastic additions to the Barons for their enthusiasm for the Barossa, its community, culture and reputation on the world stage.

“Of course, they have excelled in their chosen careers but it is their commitment to our region and their volunteer work in the community that completes the picture.

“The Barons are integral to this community, proudly supporting the region’s wine, viticulture, gastronomy, heritage and the arts for past 46 years.

“Our contributions have varied in scope over the decades but none as significant as The Barossa Cellar, our gift to the greater Barossa wine community.

“We really are thrilled to welcome the fresh input from these terrific new Barons.”
