Calabria family to distribute Redman Wines

The Calabria Family Wine Group is the new distributor for Coonawarra winery Redman.

Calabria will distribute Redman wines nationally, including a return to Western Australia after a 15-year hiatus.

Calabria’s acquisition of The Wine Company led to the move, which has been welcomed by Redman co-owner and fourth generation winemaker, Dan Redman.

“Calabria is a multi-generational, family-owned business like ours, and we are confident in their understanding of our business,” he says.

“We are excited to be a part of their growing distribution company.

“We look forward to continuing to nurture our existing customer relationships, as well as creating many more with Calabria as our new partner.”

This is the 60th year of the Redman brand.

Andrew Calabria, Head of Sales & Marketing at Calabria Family Wine Group said, “Our family is very proud to be working with one of Coonawarra’s longest standing family producers.

“The Redman family is at the heart of Australian winemaking, we are excited to represent Redman and look forward to sharing their story and milestones.”

The Redman family has made wine in the Coonawarra since 1908.

Family-owned and-operated, the brand is well regarded for the exceptional Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon produced
from the Redmans’ famous patch of terra rossa soil.

Bill Redman started the winery, and now third- and fourth-generation vignerons Mal, Bruce, Dan and Mike Redman run the business.

The Calabria Family Wine Group purchased distributors House of Fine Wine and The Wine Company in February.

The agencies were purchased from Indevin (Villa Maria brand owner) and the Tahbilk Group respectively.
