Wine Conference acquires WineTech trademark

The Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference Inc. (AWITC) has acquired the WineTech trademark from the Wine Industry Suppliers Association (WISA).

The change in ownership brings the conference and exhibition under a single organisational structure.

“Importantly, the same trusted teams will continue to deliver the two events,” AWITC chair Mark Krstic said in a joint statement with Expertise Events founder Gary FitzRoy.

“The conference is managed and delivered by the AWITC, while Expertise Events leads the exhibition delivery and exhibitor engagement.

For WISA members, WISA will remain represented on the AWITC Planning Committee ensuring industry suppliers continue to be involved in shaping these events.

“For exhibitors, the result is simpler coordination, clearer points of contact and a more integrated event,” the joint statement says.

“For conference delegates and WineTech attendees, it will be business as usual.

AWITC and Expertise Events continue to work together as partners in the planning and delivery of these events, just as we have done across recent cycles.

“We are already looking ahead to 2028 and actively working to make the next AWITC and WineTech as accessible and rewarding as possible for everyone.
