Barossa Man Arrested Over $6 Million Wine Theft

Detectives from the Serious and Organised Financial Crime Investigation Section of South Australian Police yesterday arrested a 51-year-old man from the Barossa Valley for theft and deception.

“It will be alleged the man received almost $6 million for wine which he did not then supply to the victims,” a police statement says.

The man was charged with 15 counts of theft and one count of deception.

He was bailed to appear in the Tanunda Magistrates Court on 22 September.
