De Bortoli Wines has won the Best Vegan Wine in the Nourish Vegan Awards.
The awards recognise the most loved vegan brands in Australia and New Zealand, shining a spotlight on “the best plant-based living” as voted by vegan and “plant-forward” consumers.
Winning for its quality, environmental impact and positive steps towards plant-based living, De Bortoli 17 Trees was highlighted as a range that is committed to making veganism easy and joyful.
One tree is planted with every six bottles sold from the 17 Trees range.
More than 66,000 trees have been planted globally so far.
“You no longer need to choose between a product that’s good tasting and one that’s good for the environment,” executive director Victor De Bortoli says.
In 2021 De Bortoli was recognised as a fully certified member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.
“Fast forward to 2022, winning the Best Vegan Wine at the Nourish Vegan Awards shows an acknowledgment by the consumer for our sustainability journey so far,” Victor says.
“We love that raising a glass can do the environment some good.”
De Bortoli was established in 1928 and today is under the custodianship of the third generation, Darren, Leanne, Kevin and Victor De Bortoli.
