ONE STAR
Anvers Restaurant
Australian Contemporary Cuisine
633 Razorback Road, Kangarilla, South Australia
What the Michelin Guide says, “End your week with lunch or savour a sunset dinner in the light-bathed glass dining room of Anvers in Adelaide Hills. With views from virtually all sides, there’s a reason this winery and restaurant has also become an enviable wedding destination. There are several dining options to pick from, but the Long Story best capture’s chef Connor Bishop’s creativity. Through the language of Australian cuisine – Paroo Kangaroo, damper bread, mushrooms and herbs grown right on the estate – Anvers weaves a tale of wine and food. This is a meal defined by delicious simplicity and a strong sense of place.”

Come for an aperitivo in nice weather and prepare to sup on vegetables from the estate’s own garden, bolstered by local Australian seafood and proteins like Paroo Kangaroo. The menu pulls from Chef Fabian Lehmann’s experience in Europe and the Nordics, translating his global expertise into dishes that infuse elements of many cultures into a wholistic experience.
