Jancis Robinson OBE will deliver a keynote address at the Australian Women in Wine (AWIW) 10th Birthday Gala on Saturday 19 July.
She will speak via video link from London.
“This will be Robinson’s first address to an Australian audience in more than five years and marks a significant moment for women in wine across the country,” AWIW founder Jane Thomson OAM says.
“Due to her personal commitment to lowering her carbon footprint and reducing air miles, she will speak via video link from London – but her presence, even virtually, is a monumental addition to this milestone event.”
Thomson says they are “absolutely thrilled and honoured” to have Robinson join them for this special occasion.
“Her influence on the global wine industry is unparalleled, and to have her share her insights and her vision for achieving gender equality in wine is an extraordinary privilege,” Thomson says.
The Australian Women in Wine 10th Birthday Gala is a celebration of a decade of gender advocacy and progress, recognising the achievements of women in the industry and inspiring the next generation.
It’s also the kick-off event for the 2025 Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference which runs from July 20-23 in Adelaide.
“All are welcome at this historic and significant night – men, women and non-binary,” Thomson says.
Tickets for the Gala are selling fast.
