Sittella won six trophies at the 33rd Swan Valley Wine Show including the best Swan Valley table wine of show for the 2021 Avant Garde Golden Mile Grenache.
This wine also won the trophy for best single red varietal other than Shiraz.
A new trophy introduced this year is the Liquor Barons Best Regional Wine of Show which was awarded to Torrent Wines for their 2015 Swan Valley Chenin Blanc. This wine also won Best Chenin Blanc.
Oakover Wines won the City of Swan Trophy which goes to the exhibitor whose five or more entries gained the highest average score. Oakover also won the Best 2021 Dry White Wine of Show (GPZ only) for their 2021 Chenin Blanc.
The Alan Dinneen Memorial Trophy goes to a wine selected by the chief judge who believes shows imagination, innovation and ingenuity. The 2021 trophy was awarded to Yagmich Estate for the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon.
The Swan Valley is the oldest wine region in Western Australia and the Swan Valley Wine Show is one of the longest continually operating wine shows in Australia.
The awards ceremony at Sandalford Wines was attended by local winemakers, Swan Valley business owners and members of the community.
There were 244 wines entered in the show.
