You would be in the trenches with these comrades working their big rubber gloves off at the Soldiers Memorial Hall.
The MCC Langhorne Creek Wine Show is the one where the people who win the trophies, also have to do the washing up.
A bit like Bono driving the limousine to the concert.
Bleasdale won three trophies including Champion Wine of Show.
Lake Breeze also won three.
Greg Follett (far right) is still cleaning up after all these years and is a big contributor to the local community.
It’s hard to make a buck in the wine industry, but can you imagine how much harder it would be without all the volunteers keeping the show on the road?
Along the way looking after hundreds of small communities which might otherwise fade away.
It’s a story that consumers – and Canberra – need to be more aware of.
