Fermentation specialists, Lallemand provide applied fermentation technical support and share their knowledge of fermentation application, the market needs, and commercialisation of new R&D innovations in the field of microbiology. With representatives all around the country, there’s a rep in every major wine region from the Hunter to Margaret River.

Following a recent new partnership deal, Winequip are now the sole distributor for Lallemand biological products in WA, NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC, and TAS. In this blog series, we introduce you to the faces behind the Winequip and Lallemand, so you know who to look to in your part of the wine world. Next up, we chat to Sales Manager for Western Australia Amanda Kramer, who believes that Lallemand boss Jason’s hair is a key part of what makes Lallemand unique and can be found most weekends spalshing about with her dog Cosmo.

What is your role with Lallemand?

Sales Manager WA. I offer technical knowledge of the Lallemand portfolio and product application.

What do you love about your job?

The combination of passion and energy of the people in the wine industry is inspiring. Each winery may be focussed on a different aspect of winemaking that they want to improve or change but they are all actually striving for continuous improvement. It is exciting to be part of this dynamic industry.

What makes Lallemand unique in your eyes?

Lallemand is always evolving. The company focusses on innovation and producing products to help improve, transform or diversify winemaking. The people are pretty awesome too, they have that sparkle in their eye and ready to help out anytime ….and Jason’s hair, that’s pretty awesome.

How do you think Lallemand’s role has changed in the wine landscape over the years?

Lallemand has become a major technical resource for the global wine industry. Wine trials are conducted around the world and the Lallemand specialists are always willing to help.

When you’re not at work, where might we find you?

When it’s only a quick walk to the beach, why wouldn’t you? My dog, Cosmo, loves the beach and a good splash. You might even see me in Geographe Bay on my new SUP.
