No Len Evans Tutorial This Year

By Friday 21 August 2020No Comments

With too much uncertainty around interstate travel in the second half of 2020, it has been decided the Len Evans Tutorial will not go ahead this year.

Applicants who have submitted for 2020 will not need to reapply for 2021 but will have the opportunity to update their proposals or CVs.

The 2021 Len Evans Tutorial will celebrate 20 years of this esteemed wine school with applications opening in June next year.

Over its 20 years, the Len Evans Tutorial has proved to be an invaluable training ground for its scholars many of whom have gone on to become wine show chairs and senior wine judges, industry leaders and better wine professionals. This is the legacy of the Tutorial and Len Evans’ vision.

Director Sally Evans said: “Thank you to all past supporters and we look forward to progressing our association next year. Dad would have been 90 come 31 August, so perhaps we can all raise a glass to him that day in recognition?”

Past alumni groups are planning reunions this year and will recognise Len’s 90th by opening a great bottle on 31 August 2020.

The Len Evans Tutorial was founded by Len Evans AO OBE in 2001.

It is run by a not-for-profit Foundation and is funded entirely by donations and sponsorships from companies and individuals related to the wine industry.

All tutors and pourers volunteer their time each year to run the Tutorial.
