Barossa Valley boutique winery Hentley Farm has won the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy for the best young red wine.
Hentley Farm won Australia’s most famous wine trophy with The Old Legend 2021 Grenache.
“With notes of strawberry, red currant, Turkish delight, rose petal and fennel seed, this is a wine that is delicious in its youth but will also age beautifully,” Hentley Farm says.
The wine also won Best Grenache of Show at two city wine shows and gold at the Barossa Wine Show.
Hentley Farm was established in 1997 by Keith and Alison Hentschke.
The chief winemaker is Andrew Quin.
